The Vineyard 1913 Premium Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is a testament to four generations of South Australian viticulture and meticulous winemaking. Nestled atop the Monash Valley, Vineyard 1913 benefits from the Riverland’s low rainfall, mild winters, dry summers, and fertile sandy loam soils, producing fruit of exceptional intensity and complexity. Harvested from carefully selected rows at 13.5–14.0° Baume, the grapes were fermented on skins in temperature-controlled stainless steel for 10–12 days, allowing optimum extraction of colour and flavour. The wine was then pressed, clarified, and expertly blended from individually assessed parcels to create a rich and complex Cabernet Sauvignon. Displaying a brick red colour, this premium selection opens with a layered nose of blackcurrant, tobacco, leafy characters, and hints of game, while the palate unfolds cassis, cedar, and subtle cigar box notes. Structured with soft, fine tannins, it delivers a long, intricate finish, making it perfect for pairing with slow-roasted meats, rich stews, or mature cheeses.
