We've received a very small number of bottles of the annual release from The Highlander Inn, a single cask 29 year old Tullibardine. Tasting notes from Tsuyoshi Kitakaji of Rudder Japan: Aroma: Vanilla, young strawberries and cantaloupes, followed with rich malt and rye bread Taste: Banana cask, madeleine, biscuits, bun with custard filling, caraway liqueur, creamy and oily body gradually changing to spice Finish: Acacia honey, ginger, white pepper and wasabi. A medium finish gently followed with a spicy bite. Comments: Gradually floral and herbal flowers appear. Over time, chrysanthemum flowers with green and red Shiso.
