Kyoya Purple & Pear Shochu 720ml

Founded in 1834, Kyoya is leading the way in the Japanese Gin category while staying true to its roots in premium shochu. Made with purple sweet potato and black koji, this pleasingly spicy, fruity example has a vibrancy and character comparable to unaged grappa. Floral soft aromas of fresh-sliced pear are complexed in a silky, medium-bodied delivery hinting at sour dough bread and fruit cake, ending with a light spirit kick. The aftertaste accents juicy dried fruits and pepper warmth. Recommended as a base for cocktails.
