In 1843, Dr. Lindeman, an upstanding man of formidable character, started his own winery. In doing so, he set his sights on civilising a colony of hard-drinking ruffians. Lindeman's Gentleman's Collection Red Blend Batch No. 6 features liquorice and cherry notes with a dash of fortified wine. A fine wine by anyone's standard.

The full bodied palate shows dark cherry brambly flavours supported within soft tannin structure that makes this wine immediately approachable.

Aroma:
Layers of dark cherry, bramble berries and liquorice, with touches of spice and warmth

Palate:
Full?bodied and rich, featuring ripe dark berries, brambly fruit and a hint of fortified-wine richness; supported by soft, approachable tannins

Best enjoyed now, or cellar for up to 2 3 years for added depth
