Attractively aromatic with notes of dark cherries, dried fruit and flowers, followed by a spice-laden palate; licorice, chocolate, and savory herbs, and overall depth of flavor are wrapped in a backbone of acid and well-structured tannins. In youth these tannins can be mouth-filling and austere; with time they soften, becoming truly ethereal in nature.

Pair with grilled meats, pasta dishes, charcuterie and aged cheese.
