Deep ruby red in colour with aromatic notes of blackcurrant, undergrowth, cloves, dark plums, thyme, and earthy tones. Medium to full-bodied with a round and velvety mouthfeel. Flavours of ripe dark fruits, firm tannins, lively acidity, and hints of toasty, sweet spices and minerality with a graceful and persistent finish with lingering notes of spice and fruit.

Recommended to decant for 1-2 hours before serving to allow the wine to open up.

It is best served at a temperature of 16-18 C and pairs well with mature cheeses, duck and roasted red meats.
