This wine presents a deep ruby in colour. Its intense nose offers notes of nutmeg and cherry. The palate is full-bodied and sappy, with silky tannins. It reveals aromas of grilled hazelnut, liquorice and, once again, cherry. The finish is very persistent, almost saline.

Recommended to decant for 1-2 hours before serving to allow the wine to open up.

It is best served at a temperature of 16-18 C and pairs well with mature cheeses, dishes like beef bourguignon and other game meats.

This wine has amazing cellaring potential for 15-20 years.
