Whiskey Stones For The Whiskey Connoisseur

If the thought of water in your whiskey makes you cringe then whiskey stones may be your answer. With a few whiskey stones in your glass you can give your favorite drink a slight chill without diminishing its fine flavor. They also make a great gift for the aficionado in your life or the person who has everything (as long as they appreciate a solid drink).

How to best use your whiskey stones

Whiskey stones also know as whiskey rocks are typically made from soapstone or granite. Their sole purpose is to give your beverage a slight chill, but to the mistake and confusion of many they are not intended to cool your drink to the degree ice cubes do. By slightly chilling your drink they help take the edge off providing a smooth experience without diluting the flavor like melting ice would.

When it comes to using them all you have to do is pop them in your drink after they have been in the freezer for several hours. When finished give the stones a thorough washing in clean filtered water, pat them dry and store them in the included storage bag and place it in the freezer.

Features

  • Uniquely shaped so they do not easily roll down your glass
  • Set includes nine Whisky Rocks, complete with storage pouch
  • Easy to use, just wash rocks and place them in the freezer for use anytime
  • Can be used with wine and other drinks
  • Size 2 x 2 x 2 cm

Question: Can I use Whiskey Stones with other liquors/spirits?

Answer: Of course. Whiskey Stones are so-named because they were originally designed by a man who loved his single malt whiskey. However, any liquor that you wish to chill without watering it down can benefit from Whiskey Stones.

Question: Are the Whiskey Stones naturally cold? How do they actually cool the drink?

Answer: Soapstone (the material that comprises the Whiskey Stones) must be chilled before going into your drink. Simply keep your Whiskey Stones in your freezer and you'll always have a few handy. You only need three Whiskey Stones per glass. Talc, the primary ingredient in soapstone, is especially effective at retaining its temperature for long periods of time.

Question: Why shouldn't I just use ice?

Answer: Someone wasn't paying attention in class! Whiskey Stones don't melt (so they don't water down your drink), they hold a chill for much longer, and they're completely odourless and tasteless.

Question: What if I don't like whiskey?

Answer: Drink some anyway. It'll put some hair on your chest.
