Overview
The Sky-Watcher 120/600 AZ3 is a 120mm Achromatic Refractor Telescope featuring a short focal length of 600mm. This shorter tube, in comparison to telescopes of similar classes, provides a wider field of view with standard eyepieces. The compact length of the telescope enhances convenience for packing and storage when not in use or during transit.
Features
Premium Astronomy and Terrestrial Observation
The Sky-Watcher 120/600 refractor telescope is a reliable performer, offering clear views of comets, star fields, star clusters, nebulae, bright galaxies, planets, the Moon, and the Sun (with proper safety filtering!). Paired with the sturdy and user-friendly AZ3 alt-azimuth mount, this telescope ensures excellent stability and precise control. The mount features fine tracking adjustment knobs for both the horizontal (azimuth) and vertical (altitude) axes. Additionally, the Sky-Watcher 120/600 AZ3 can be utilized as a daytime terrestrial telescope.
The Refractor Advantage
The classic quality of images viewed through a refractor telescope is unmatched by other telescope designs. With no mirrors involved, a refractor delivers a generally sharper image, and there's no secondary mirror shadow, enhancing its suitability for terrestrial viewing when used with the provided 45o erecting image diagonal.
Sky-Watcher Telescopes
In late 1999 the Sky-Watcher brand was born in Canada. Today Sky-Watcher is recognised as being one of the world's largest telescope suppliers. With a mission statement like the following, it is no wonder they are one of the world's biggest brands for night gazing.
'We believe that beginners' first scopes should be not only affordable but also of the highest quality. Looking through a telescope for the first time is a magical moment and we believe in magic! We're called "Sky-Watcher": our desire is to see the worldwide community of skywatchers grow, until, one day, every person in the world can be a part of our community!
