When mounted on an EOS R5 or EOS R6, the RF 50mm f/1.8 STM achieves a maximum Image Stabilization (IS) of 7 stops. The camera and lens combined IS corrects shake more accurately, providing sharper and clearer images. It is particularly handy when taking handheld photos in dark setting such as night scenes or indoors.
