Aspherical and Super-Low Dispersion Glass Elements

The innovative proprietary optical design of the Tokina 24-70mm lens incorporates three precision-molded all-glass aspherical lens elements, including a challenging and unique Super-Low Dispersion (SD) glass element known as G09. These elements contribute to outstanding contrast, sharpness, and correction of spherical aberrations, with G09 being a large-sized aspherical element. The lens design ensures even illumination across the entire image sensor. Additionally, three SD glass elements in the rear groups help control chromatic aberrations, collectively delivering maximum resolution suitable for the high megapixel DSLR cameras in the market. The constant f/2.8 aperture allows for effective viewing and autofocus in low-light conditions while providing flexibility in setting shutter speeds.
