Great for portraits with a medium telephoto perspective, The RF 135mm f/1.8L IS USM allows you to take full advantage of the large f/1.8 aperture, with an extremely shallow depth of field for beautiful background blur.

Features

Sharp, Soft & Bright

Three words you rarely hear together, but they fit this lens perfectly as your subject will be sharp and your background can be butter soft (if that is what you want), and the bright f/1.8 maximum aperture allows for great control over depth of field and bokeh, low-light shooting and video recording, with fast and reliable autofocus. It's an outstanding "look" for portraits, fashion, video applications, and even some indoor sports.

Excellent Image Quality

Taking advantage of the Canon RF lens mount, the RF135mm F1.8 L IS USM lens offers great optical quality. Its optical design includes three Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) glass elements for high image quality from center to corner, and Canon Super Spectra Coating ("multi-coating"), and specialized Air Sphere Coating to minimize ghosting and flare.

Optical Image Stabilisation

For consistently sharp results, the RF135mm F1.8 L IS USM features built-in optical Image Stabilization, providing enhanced shake reduction for up to 5.5 stops of shake correction. When paired with an EOS R-series camera that has In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS), the Coordinated IS allows for up to 8 stops of correction. Steady hand-held video, and incredibly sharp available-light still images, are hallmarks of this new RF telephoto lens.

High Speed & Quiet Autofocus

With any Canon EOS R-series camera, expect swift and positive autofocus. The Nano USM focus drive system is especially advantageous to video users, because of its combination of quiet operation and outstanding smoothness of focus changes during actual recording. And, AF during still-imate shooting is quick and equally quiet.
