The Positions is the debut album from Sydney band, Gang Of Youths. The album was produced by Kevin McMahon (Swans, Real Estate, The Walkmen) & mixed by Peter Katis (The National, Local Natives).

The first single Poison Drum is a Top 10 Most Played track on Triple J. Spins on Triple J, BBC Radio 1 & XFM led to a NME feature early as the band to watch. Rave reviews from performances at CMJ and SXSW continued the underground buzz. The buzz continued as Gang Of Youths were offered tours with Cloud Control, Vampire Weekend, Frightened Rabbit and Manchester Orchestra in the UK plus tours in Australia with The Jezabels and Foster The People.

In the months leading into the bands forthcoming album, Gang Of Youths have been touted The Next Big Thing at the FBI SMAC Awards, have taken out the #1 position for 2014 s Song of the year in Rolling Stone Magazine for single Poison Drum plus singer David Le aupepe also taking out 3rd place in the Vanda & Young songwriting competition for track Poison Drum
