Tim Adams 2022 Pinot Gris (750mL)
What the Experts Say
Clare Valley Pinot Gris.
Light for a Gris. Almost into grigio territory. Crisp, or thereabouts, with red apple flavours sprinkled with glucose. Not a lot of finish.
86/100 - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
Our Notes
This bold and rose-hued Pinot Gris is harvested in the cool of the morning, cold-pressed and cold-fermented to allow maximum expression of the bold fruit the cool nights of the Clare Valley can bring out in the Pinot Gris grape.
A fresh and fruit-forward wine with notes of lychee, nashi pear, slate and citrus zest, and a highly quaffable summer refreshment.
Winemakers Comments
Rather than removing the naturally occurring colour from our Pinot Gris, as a true expression of varietal character we choose to retain it in this wine. The resultant rose-gold hue complements the well lifted opulent pear, lychee and white peach aromas and flavours.
