Dal Zotto 2022 King Valley Pinot Grigio (750mL)
From The Winemaker
Pale straw, bright and inviting; immediately appealing aromatics of fennel, pear flesh and a real presence of an indefinable yet enticing complexity; the palate is all about freshness, as the dry, taut and savoury nature of the wine demands another mouthful, as the wine is full of crunchy and refreshing fresh fruit; a touch of nuttiness on the finish maintains the Italian feel to the wine.
About the Winery
Dal Zotto, the "first family of Australian Prosecco" began as a passion project of tobacco grower-turned-winemaker Otto dal Zotto, who was born in Valdobbiadene, the home of Prosecco. In 1999, dal Zotto produced the first Australian Prosecco, laying the groundwork for a now hugely popular style. The winemaking expertise of Otto was passed down to son Michael, the current winemaker, and a variety of Italian styles are produced in the King Valley's warm Mediterranean climate.
