The plant dislikes hard frosts, but if grown under a canopy of trees, will usually be well protected from milder frosts.

An ivy like evergreen trailing ground cover which is great for ground covers under trees or in hanging pots. Loves the shade but will tolerate semi-shade. Prefers warm to tropical climate but will fair well in ordinary soil away from severe frosts and full sun. Grows quickly and is drought tolerant and can compete with root-competition from other plants such as under trees.

Has small orchid like flowers in the autumn which to the naked eye the look white in appearance, but viewed under a camera with zoom function, the petals are covered with peppered flecks. A great talking point for visitors in your garden for this hidden gem.
