Description and specs

Marguerite Daisy LaRita Rose Daisy

Marguerite Daisy LaRita Rose boasts over six months of colour with rosy pink petals surrounding a large central disc. An early season bloomer with a good, unfirm habit.

Flowering from spring to autumn in most areas but in mild climates they will flower pretty much year round.

Marguerite Daisies will give you an almost constant supply of pickable flowers that easily last a week or two in a vase. They are one of the ultimate low maintenance, long flowering plants available, and these dwarf varieties are ideal for the urban garden or small rockeries.

The evergreen, erect shrubs grows to nice little mounds of soft, finely dissected, mid green leaves, with just a hint of silver. With their long flowering period, they are easy to care for.

Plant Marguerite Daisies in moderately fertile to humus rich soil where they will receive at least six hours of sun a day. It is a good idea to protect young plants from frost. The most prolific flowers occur in spring and autumn when the nights are cool.

As they are establishing, you can pinch out the new growth, this will encourage a more bushy plant. Once they are up and flowering, regular dead heading, or picking will promote more blooms.

Well suited to coastal areas, sunny beds and borders as well as large containers. They are both salt and wind tolerant.
