This is the 2018 release of the Springbank 21 Year Old. The Springbank 21 gold boxed edition was released in 2012, marking the first time a 21 Year Old whisky had been produced by the distillery since 2005. It was matured for 21 years in a combination of 70% rum casks and 30% first fill ex-bourbon casks.
Only 3,700 bottles released.

    Nose:    Mandarin peel, mint, red berry candy, spicy, ginger, white pepper. Balanced, pronounced intensity, very good depth.

    Taste:    Spicy, ginger, white pepper, paraffin, herbs, red berries candy. Harmonious, very good texture, vanilla sweetness, medium-bodied, pronounced intensity.

    Finish:   Long, spicy, gentle pepper, oak wood.
