Octomore 12.2 carries on the legacy of the legendary Octomore 4.2 (Comus), one of the most celebrated and sought-after whiskies in our distillery’s history. Bold yet refined, it showcases an unexpected harmony of sweetness and smoke. The whisky matured for three and a half years in ex-American oak casks, developing a vibrant foundation of fruit and floral character in our lochside warehouses, before being recasked into exceptional Sauternes casks. These casks contributed an additional 18 months of maturation, infusing layers of melon, white peach, honeysuckle, and coconut. The result is a luscious twist of rich fruit and delicate sweetness that perfectly complements the powerful peat smoke of this heavily phenolic malt.
