Description and specs

Victoriana was yet again awarded Double Gold for the third consecutive year at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2024, meaning that it is now the winner of a prestigious Platinum award.

From the prevailing spirit of Campbeltown comes Victoriana single malt Scotch whisky a thoroughly modern take on a classic Victorian-style single malt, beloved by whisky enthusiasts and critics alike. Bottled at cask strength, our award-winning Victoriana will surprise and delight with every dram.

Beautifully complex in its nature, Victoriana is a robust single malt whisky with a remarkable richness and depth of colour. Powerful, intense and spicy, Victoriana unfolds gradually, offering layer after layer of complex flavours, imparting sweet caramel, ripe berries, and rich toasty notes with a delicate hint of spice.

It s been matured in first and second fill bourbon casks, then finished for up to 12 months in heavily charred bourbon barrels and Pedro Ximenez (PX) sherry butts, before being married together for a further six months.

Crafted as a modern tribute to the traditional Victorian-style Campbeltown whisky, Victoriana symbolises the ethos of Campbeltown as a whisky-making region, representing a by-gone era and reflecting the Campbeltown of yesteryear with its decades of distilling expertise.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Cre?me Bru?le?e, melted sugars, caramelised fruits and oak.

Taste: Roasted sugars, blackcurrants, spice.

Finish: Cocoa, dark chocolate, dark fruits.

"This is fantastic Scotch. It is both simply enjoyable and rewards further contemplation. It lacks an age statement, but it makes a statement with its quality and character." - Robert Lublin, Drinkhacker (95 Points)

"The Glen Scotia Victoriana is rather fruity and slightly floral, with a nice oiliness to boot and just a whiff of furniture polish. The palate is darker than expected and certainly much more spicier than the nose suggests. It's funky with notes of charred oak, a soft saline quality and a touch of vegetal peat. Clearly this is about heavy oak maturation but done very well." - Thijs Klaverstijn, Distiller (89 Points)
