Oriental Botanicals Kidnetone 60 Tablets
Overview
With goji berries and horny goat weed, traditionally used as kidney tonics in Chinese medicine
Oriental Botanicals Kidnetone includes goji berries and horny goat weed, traditionally taken to nourish the kidneys in Chinese medicine. Also contains rehmannia, traditionally used to regulate body fluids and urine output when kidney yin is deficient in Chinese medicine.
Features and benefits:
In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the kidneys do more than regulate the body's fluids; they also keep the opposing forces of yin and yang in balance and store the life force energy known as jing, which declines as we get older.Oriental Botanicals Kidnetone includes:
- Goji berries, traditionally taken to fortify the kidneys, nourish yin and yang, and boost jing, as well as reduce fatigue when kidney yang is deficient in TCM
- Rehmannia, traditionally used to tonify the kidneys and to maintain healthy fluid balance if kidney yin is deficient in TCM
- Horny goat weed, traditionally taken in TCM as a kidney tonic, and to regulate body fluids and relieve urinary frequency when kidney yang is deficient
How it works:
Supporting a healthy kidney organ-meridian system by using kidney tonic herbs is traditionally seen as beneficial in TCM.Oriental Botanicals Kidnetone is based on a traditional Chinese herbal formula for the kidney organ-meridian system called Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill, which has been used for around 900 years.
Rehmannia is the chief or 'emperor' ingredient in Kidnetone, where it's supported by two 'deputy' herbs: horny goat weed and goji berry. All three of these herbs have benefits for the kidney organ-meridian system, as detailed below.
Rehmannia
Rehmannia is traditionally known in TCM for its benefits in supporting kidney health, regulating body fluids and healthy urine production, and relieving menopausal night sweats in patterns of yin deficiency. In TCM, rehmannia is traditionally used to invigorate jing, a form of life force energy that's stored in the kidneys. Jing is inherited from your parents in fixed quantities at the time of your conception, and your levels of it progressively decline as you get older, so maintaining healthy levels of jing becomes increasingly important from mid-life onwards.
Rehmannia is also traditionally used in TCM as a blood tonic that helps relieve sleeplessness and irregular menstrual cycles.
Goji berries
In Chinese medicine, goji berries are traditionally used for supporting kidney health and like rehmannia, are traditionally used to strengthen jing.According to TCM, the kidney organ-meridian system is traditionally believed to keep the opposing forces of yin and yang in balance. Goji berries are traditionally used to nourish both yin and yang, keeping them in balance in the body.
If levels of yin become deficient, goji berries are also traditionally used in TCM to support vitality, and relieve the resulting symptoms, which can include menopausal night sweats and mild dizziness. These antioxidant-rich berries are also traditionally regarded for tonifying the kidneys and relieving fatigue if kidney yang is deficient in TCM.
Horny goat weed
When kidney yang is depleted, horny goat weed supports healthy kidney function, tonifying the kidneys and helping to regulate body fluids, relieving urinary frequency plus promoting healthy libido. It's also traditionally used in TCM to strengthen the bones and relieve mild aches and pains of the joints.
Oriental Botanicals Kidnetone also contains Cornelian cherry, Chinese yam, alisma and poria.
